What the Bible says about Jesus

The True Light "In him, (the Lord Jesus) was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world,…the world didn’t recognize him." John 1:4,9.
The Good Seed and the Weeds The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seeds in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away. Matthew 13:24,25.

Part 2 With Tom Horn & Steve Quayle -- Are Things About To Get Crazy?

Note from this blogger:
I firmly believe that the Lord God wants us to study and draw from the water of the Word both in the Old Testament as well as the same water found in the New Testament. First because God is eternal, he doesn´t change, his Word is Jesus who doesn´t change - he is Alpha and Omega - the One who, made flesh communicated to us humans, his will, his purpose for coming down to our level and revealing his Father´s love to us and the plan of redemption.

We can see that the New Testaments writers quoted profusely from the Old Testaments King and Prophets. The Lord Jesus himself quoted from Genesis to Malachi, you can trust his Word, he is the originator of it through the Holy Spirit and the mind of the writers.

When Steven Quayle writes about gates, I tend to believe him because I am a Berean and one of the principles that I used is to see if something that someone said in the New Testament exists contextually in the Old Testament. And concerning gates, I think I found it. The context  in Genesis 22:17-18 is faith and the father of faith, Abraham the patriarch of the Israelites and the father of all the ones who later on would come to faith in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob through whom all the descendants of the earth, Gentiles and Jews would be blessed.

If we look at Matthew 16: 18 we can see the same context of faith, the determinant factor in the salvation of the Christian by grace through faith. We know Peter was sent to the Jewish people and Paul to the Gentiles to proclaim the message of the Good News.

To sum up let´s look at the contexts and the keys words In Genesis 22: 17, 18 and Matthew 16:18 to see if we can find some correspondence:

Genesis 22:17-18 "indeed I will greatly bless you, and I will greatly multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your seed shall possess the GATE of their enemies. 18“In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”
Matthew 16:18: "I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the GATES of Hades will not overpower it.

I found a further correlation in the word obedience that is directly linked to faith. According to Romans 1:5-6: ... through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles for His name’s sake, 6 among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ;

One can only go through the GATE that leads to the invisible kingdom of God through obedience of Faith to the voice of Christ that commands "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel." (Matthew 1:15).(Jesus is the only DOOR for its narrowness so that only one person can go through at a time). This is why Peter and the Apostles declare in Acts5:32,33:
The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you had put to death by hanging Him on a cross. 31“He is the one whom God exalted to His right hand as a Prince and a Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. 32“And we are witnesses of these things; and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him.”

Here the Apostles were talking about the promise to Abraham to bless his descendance through the Lord Jesus who would  baptize us into the family of faith. It is the same Peter who in this sermon to the crowd at Pentecost: Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and the rest of the apostles, Brethren, what shall we do? 38And Peter'said unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call unto him.

Peter should know this better than anyone from experience since he was delivered from jail by an angel that unshackled him from the wall and led him outside the GATE of the prison. He then testified about it to the other disciples. This is a living proof that the gates of hell could not prevail against the Church.

A true prophetic word is always validated and confirmed by the reality of the fulfillment.
