You little donkey meek and lowly
who first transported baby Jesus
On the road to be born in Bethleem
In the chosen womb of the Virgin Mary
An example of humility you are
For me, to follow my destiny
The Way, the Truth and the Life
Which is only to surpass
Myself and not others
To not belittle my brothers
Or neighbors, but to spur them
On the path of righteousness,
Whatever their mode of locomotion
In their native nation.
However, I must confess
That my preferred transportation
My Master´s choice
By way of example
This little animal, so cute and kind.
For me no white horse,
With a wavy mane,
But this old and modest taxi
The unforgettable little gray donkey.
